I ordered a trial sample of Performance Product's Acai Berry product and tried it once. I had bad side effects from it. My heart raced so much that I thought I was having a heart attack. I never used the product again and called in to cancel any future shipments in August of 2008. I just found out that although I called to cancel what I thought was everything related to this product, I am being charged for an emailed newsletter that I have never read. When I called back to Customer Service to see why this was not cancelled in August 2008, I was told that since I did not specifically request that the newsletter be cancelled, it was not done. I was never asked about the newsletter and when I told the customer service rep about the bad reaction I had to the product, that should have been enough to cancel evreything related to acai berry. I called customer service again on 5/22 and was told by Tammy (218) that the company is not required to mention the newsletter when someone calls to cancel, although she herself does ask the cutomer if they want to cancel the newsletter too.

I also received a call from a telemarketer and informed her that I had a bad reaction to the product and never wanted anything to do with it again. I want the newsletter charges to be refunded from the point that I cancelled in August of 2008.
